I have great love and respect for Indian Classical Music and especially for North Indian Dhrupad Style of Singing. I have been fond of listening to Dhrupad Renditions since my childhood due to I an my family being initiated into Vaishnavite Sect called Pushtimarg proclaimed by Mahaprabhu Shree Vallabhacharyaji. These specific style is also referred to Haveli Sangeet. I got basic knowledge of Ragas and Tala from 'Ashtachapp Sangeet Academy - Ahmedabad' run by Late Shree Vitthaldas Bapodara. I have been practising and performing Dhrupad Haveli Sangeet since 2004. My ideal singers are "Gopirasik Telang" of Vraj/Mathura who remained very low-profiled but very fine, expert, rasika and perfect in Dhrupad Haveli Style Singing. He has been my ideal since I had an opportunity to listen him in 2005 through his recorded audios at pushtimarg.net.
